Café Telegraph | Insider-Restaurant of the Month
For our last insider tip of the year 2017, we found something really special - Café Telegraph in the 9th district of Vienna around the corner from Votivkirche and not too far of a walk from the town hall. We proudly present our insider restaurant of the month December:
The charming Café Telegraph is especially popular among a younger Viennese crowd for its self made cakes, eclairs and other sweet pastries as well as its amazing breakfast and brunch selection. The coffee being served is truly a delicate roast and served to perfection. For all non-coffee drinkers, we recommend a hot white chocholate – it's being served on a neat platter where you add the amount of white chocolate (cube on a stick) to the hot milk yourself.
The café's breakfast menu is astonishing in both size and creativity of dishes offered. For instance, Cafe Telegraph has dedicated an entire size to creative Avocado dishes, starting from Avocado sandwiches to warm avocado with eggs.
We visted Cafe Telegraph at the beginning of December with a group of friends for a Sunday Brunch. The café gets pretty busy, especially on weekends – their excellent breakfast must have made its rounds among the Viennese. Café Telegraph is definitely one of the best breakfast cafes in Vienna with a huge selection of breakfast dishes, pastries, self-made cakes and eclairs and amazing coffee. Moreover the “Avocado-everything” café is the place to be in Vienna for Avocados-Lovers. We ordered Eggs Benedict, Avocado toast and an Israeli breakfast platter – take a look yourself.
Café Telegraph really convinces on all levels - amazing breakfast, brunch, great coffee, friendly service and delicious home-made eclairs and cakes. We consider the cafe one of the best breakfast restaurant and brunch options in Vienna. Café Telegraph is also worth a visit just for coffee and cake at any time of the day.
